Comic grading with photos?

Has someone done a thread showing one book in every grade from .5 to 10 to show the differences between the grades? I did a search and couldn't find one.I saw one done for currency once and it was pretty neat.

If you mean like Nostomania, I don't believe there's a thread. It has been mentioned before. I think it would help if the same book was used for each grade example. There's other variables like Marvel chipping and production defects, so I don't think one could apply the example for every book, but it would be helpful as a learning tool.

The 2nd edition of the Overstreet Grading Guide shows an Atom # 25 in 9 grades from 9.0 to 1.0. Might help? :shrug:

This isn't bad! A little overwhelming, but I like how it defines all the terms and gives pictures.

Thanks, that means both editions are the same. I've always heard that the OGG 3rd edition was inferior to the 2nd edition, but if it had all 25 grades shown that would be a buying consideration. I guess the 9 different grades shown are good enough, though inherently faulty, since everyone knows split grades are speculator-created bulls. There is no grade between FN+ and VF-
