Verified 1/22. According to my math my 20 days (with 2 con Fridays accounted for) will be up on 2/20, so let's see how they do.

Moved to SFG 2/17. There is still time to make the stated 20 day TAT... :wishluck:

Graded, still (day #9) 2/28, business day 27. Ship by the end of the month? lol:pullhair:

 

It's tough to hit a 20 day TAT when you sit in graded for 9 business days without even hitting QC.

My condolences. Looks like we may both hit the 40 day TAT that normal Economy was supposed to have back in the good old days. Does anyone know why there is this massive backup at graded status lately? Granted I don't sub as much as some folks here, but the past year I've subbed more than I've ever done. I don't ever recall there being this long of a wait once books hit graded.

 

FYI, there was only one con Friday in February, Feb 7th (WW NO) on their posted schedule. The next one is this next Friday, March 7th. I don't know whether they would have taken President's Day as a holiday or not, but the most conservative scenario has only two non-business weekdays in February. Even if they had a con every Friday that shouldn't lead to a multi-week stay in graded status.

I've got a few subs in right now. My Econ F/T received on 1/15 graded on 2/6 and has been in QC/Encapsulation since. Way outside the 20 day estimate at this point. I understand that posted TAT are estimates but this business is essentially production based and I would think it would be easy enough to update their advertised estimated TAT to something slightly closer to reality. Customer service says they are very behind on on this tier but caught up on moderns.

Wait, so a Modern FT sub got graded well ahead of a Standard sub that arrived on the same day? I think I'd be a little irritated with that chain of events. :P

 

EDIT: If it makes you feel any better, Feb 7th was a con Friday so that doesn't count as a business day. If you didn't include that in your calculation you're technically at only 13 days on the Standard (though it makes the MFT look that much better too).

 

Well I am not sure how I feel...modern "should" be done sooner cause of normal TAT but they are stated at 18 days. I took off one day as I believe you guys had a holiday on monday the 17th? If so then would be at 13 days...we shall see.

I had 3 modern and 1 Golden Age, I think the GA was holding things up.

My question got buried….

 

How long would you say a modern fast track would stay in "Grading/Quality Control" status? Shipped is the next one after that correct?

 

In the past, a tier like that would be in QC for a day or less, in my experience (my last one shipped about a month ago and was that quick). Since that last order shipped that number seems to have gone up to a few days. And yes, the next step after QC is typically shipped, though occasionally books do come back to graded status for some reason.

My two Modern FT subs are stuck at Graded as well. One for 8 business days, another for 6.

 

First one arrived today. Second one stuck at Graded for 11 business days and counting.
