Both of my orders also have hit GEI between yesterday and today and I think my SFG date is 7/22. Hopefully we do not get stuck in GEI, lol.

Yeah, for sure. My Modern submission that was shipped yesterday only stayed in GEI for a day and a half so maybe things have loosened up a bit.

LOL! I know that feeling. Both of my submissions have been stuck in GEI now for a week and I had sent these in before SDCC even started. I hope that I get these back before FanExpo as I need some of these books for the show. Ugh!

Huh. One week now in G/E/I. It is a pre-screen and no charge has hit my card so the delay is prior to actual grading. I also have submissions sitting unopened. 

I tried texting customer support a few hours ago to see how backlogged things are but they haven't responded. Maybe they are slammed with people complaining about grading delays, warped inner wells, and stuff like that. I am secretly hoping that staff are just cycling through holiday time - I can get behind people taking a well-earned rest and recharging their batteries.

Have you not been keeping current on the weather in Florida?  They're in the midst of another hurricane and Sarasota is smack dab in the middle of it.  The Governor of Florida has issued a state of emergency and many communities have been told to evacuate.

Got a text back from customer service. This submission was apparently just graded and moved to encapsulation, but my credit card has not been charged yet. The credit card charge will tell me how well I did with the pre-screen so kind of hoping for that to show up soon. For context, the credit card charge usually hits when the pre-screen gets to QC so I will have to wait it out for a while longer.

I'm guessing the weather does have them backed up...I submitted a UV (unlimited value) book that was delivered to CGC on 7/29, but a week later it hasn't been even entered into the system.  Bit surprising, but maybe the Sarasota hurricane has caused problems.

I got a Fedex delivery today, which unusual considering it's BC Day today and I didn't even know that they delivered on holidays.
