You're not going to earn a living flipping books from this show, but there are small press books that are very attractive to some of us. I'd pay decent money for an Eightball #1 9.8 (none on census), and even more for an SS (Have never seen a Clowes SS).

There is potential for big profits too, but it would be rare. This is where you would find home brew comics in double digit print runs from what could be the next Frank Miller or Jeff Smith. I wouldn't go there trying to find the next Thorn or Dead At 17. I'd just buy what I thought looked cool and then kind of hope

 

But I still think sketches would be best. I'd bring a spiral notebook and have everyone drop a doodle in it.
