AV is a good book but lets not get crazy here, it's not his best work.

 

Yea I lost interest in it. There was just nothing to make me feel invested. I enjoyed it, but I didn't feel like I had to keep reading it.

 

Now his Batman run

just the opposite for me.

 

Batman is entertaining sure, but not $4 a month entertaining.

read 34 today. So sad that this Original idea is taking a year off and a back seat to his re-hashing of old superheroes.

Maybe someday -- though I'd get him on a Dark Tower book before I'd do AV (as much as I like it)

Did anyone read the Long Road to Hell one-shot? Thought it was fantastic, and fairly accessible for readers who haven't read the series proper.

Yeah, love love love this series. Only thing I'm a little bummed about is we're on the back-half of the series. Still, knowing Snyder's approach, we're going to get some big story arcs before he packs it up.

I was going to pass on the 2nd volume since I dropped volume 1 before it ended but honest to goodness, the art, if at all possible, has gotten 10 times more GANGSTA. And, it was gangsta to begin with! Back on board. Want that Jae Lee #1 variant.
