troydivision1
I think what he was trying to say is the reason the RRP will be worth more is because of the widespread appeal of the book and its reaching everyone. I can see NWM getting there as well but there is the matter of 850 print vs 500.Exactly... We will see after NWM Vol. 1 is released / end of the year CBR and USA Today top comics rankings... Saga RRP didn't have a surge until December / January (holiday gift exchanges or Ebay bucks according to Branget...). Real Elijah Snow
I found one of those Promo posters today too. It was hanging up in the bathroom of a shop i went in. I had to rescue it.

troydivision1
another "anti" thing about the NWM TB is that the cover is the same as 1b. The Saga RRP Cover is only available on the RRP, the Promotional Poster for the Series and a smaller version on the back of the first TPB This as well. Thank you. buddymagoo
Still... It is the only #1 variant and is very limited in quantity.
ThoseBackPages
No doubt about that. Its always best when a new book has just one variant

jreezy
The point to the story was explaining that Saga was driving in people who had never read comics before because it is more accessible than Nowhere Men. Thus those new comic fans that are getting into Saga are getting into it hard. No offense, but I don't think people new to comics are looking for the Saga RPP variant. Or any variants, for that matter. -e.s. Eric Stephenson Publisher Image Comics, Inc. www.imagecomics.com Exactly.
Real Elijah Snow
i love that poster and feel its undervalued def. agree. I've only found one. Shops have a habit of hanging some of this stuff and tossing most of it.
Garf
I don't know about Thought Bubble catching as much fire but I would imagine Saga RRP will influence it heating up a little faster than normal with people wanting to pocket one... you know just in case it goes out of reach. ... however this guy is telling me there will be many mid-size or better #4 pre-orders attempted by individuals

Seems like it's cooled off though, not falling, just cooling. Edit: RRP is a different animal Edited February 7, 2013 by Chi Bamm
I like pie
The last four rrps have sold for over 1k, with the highest being 1200 for a blue label. The SS on ebay will beat that easy.
Holden Caulfield
Is it me, or is there something up with the paper stock of all the NWM conics where they get very wavy? All of mine are like that, 1,2, and 3... I have one #3 that is like that, came that way. +1 on the Back Cover
Wushugushu
Will 9.8's hit panzerfaust prices by issue 7+? Had a low print run but I dont know what it looks like compared to PP's numbers Might try to grab another before they break $200 Edited February 7, 2013 by wushugushu
CBT
PP is a smaller run, with attached potential TV (yes motion comic first), so I would say a almost certainly not.
I like pie
Agreed. I don't see it hitting $500 anytime soon. Maybe $200-$250 depending how many hit ebay in the next two months.

Just playing devil's advocate. A lot of people said Saga RRP would never reach $250 and some even said it would only ever be worth $25 *cough* Branget *cough*
CBT
well, his question was on the regular number ones, not the thought bubbles, and PP, not saga. I think if nowhere men is still hot by next december, and winning awards, hitting mainstream media, etc. Then yah, the thought bubble could track the saga path (though likely not as high). But even saga number 1s arent touching PP in terms of the regular covers. Edited February 7, 2013 by CBT
