ZaCrew
hey, collect what you like. theres nothing wrong with collecting old comics, just as theres nothing wrong with collecting new comics. Believe me I am not knocking it.. I have plenty of NWM #1 and some #1 TBs (at cgc now), but the premium these are fetching only aftering being out a couple days is scary. Beige
For those that bought low and sold high - I salute you. For those still to buy - just think! For those who are scraping money together - take your family out for a meal instead. For those keeping some - I wish you well. For those that bought low, sold high and purchased a nice early ASM 8.0 - 9.0, I salute you. You understand how this works. This may be the weekend that the modern secondary market finally began to eat its own. I really hope this was a one off - can anyone here really believe that 2 copies of this book represent the same value as a 9.8 TWD #19? Or that 10 = a 9.0 DD #1? Madness. Madness. That's part of the way I evaluate large purchases. $300 = 10 fast tracked slabs OR 15 slow tracked slabs OR a nice ASM 300 (9.4 - 9.6) OR a mid-grade Iron Man #1 (first series) OR a mid-grade Silver Surfer #1 (first series) OR a nice, high grade TWD key book (or a couple, depending on which) OR an OA page (or two) and on, and on, and on

comicsnyc22
True. While the shortsighted purchases make me nervous, I also bank on it when flipping to sell for original art!
