If you can't make the San Diego Comic Fest in October, there's another comic convention a month later...

 

The So Cal Comic Con located near San Diego (in Oceanside) is held on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 10am to 5pm, and sounds like it has a great line-up:

The dealers room is exactly what the list shows - mostly individual collectors with their own collections of comics, toys, fanzines, or a mixture of comics and toys, plus several bigger setups like from Southern California Comics, Comix World, R&k comics and Angelo's Comics, As these 4 have the majority of any Gold Silver and Bronze in the room. I've been happy with the bin diving that I've done, but no incredible scores. Some people would be done shoppig in an hour or two but I may spend more today as some guys are planning their Sunday special prices.

 

Panels are fun but heavy on the nostalgia. The conversations in the hallways and around the show are friendly and comic geeky for sure. I think they've pulled of exactly what they were hoping to accomplish... I do wish their artist alley wasn't so small and far away from most of the action though.
