Complimentary copy

9 posts in this topic

Just got a few books in today from late 1987 and several of them have "Complimentary Copy,NOT TO BE SOLD" stamped on the cover. They are all DC and Archie books so nothing special.

My question is how does this effect the grade.Assuming the book is around a VF/NM?

Can post scans but it may be a little later this evening.

Thanks!

Sent an ASM 122 to CGC a few months ago with "complimentary copy" stamp. It was not graded down for the stamp. I expected 9.2/9.4 and it got a blue label 9.4. I should note though that the stamp was not so large as your examples. Placement of the stamp was near the bottom of the FC
