A return policy must be stated with any time limits indicated. It is acceptable to say "No time limit" and/or "No returns" and/or have time limits that vary by reason for return e.g. "30 day return for any reason. No time limit returns for "not as described'". But time limits must be stated.

Shouldn't the number of points decrease as more panels and clues are given and it gets easier?

I thought about that, but what usually happens is that people lose interest if they can't solve it right away.

My thoughts are that a ramping point scale increases interest and the desire to solve it.

And, of course, since negative points don't exist, you would only have a finite number of panels to reveal.

Example: Start out at 5 points, go to 4, 3, 2, 1. Now what? :D

I was archiving unsolved books before, but it's way too much work to keep up and seems to confuse people.

Hint Summary

Charlton Publications

Reprint of earlier Charlton Publications stories

60 cent cover

1983

"ugh" on cover

My dog could solve this with a smartphone, and he's never seen a comic book before. There are not that many Charlton covers from '83.

Note - Dog ownership and alleged ability to operate smartphone for dramatic purposes only.

Faulkner would have loved gifs.
