Check out this JIM 83 w/ date stamps

ever see a book w/ these many stamps? I have never. Always looking for deals around my area.

Looks more like it might be a name stamp. Perhaps the owners mother wanted to make sure he didn't loose it at school.

I actually like modest name stamps and date stamps, but I think I'd avoid that JIM83. It's lost all eye appeal for me.

I own a Conan 1 with " Office Copy, Do Not Remove" stamped a dozen times on the front and back. As it was a gift from a former Marvel Editor in Chief, I guess it worked.

This copy looked like it was conveniently located and used to test the ink colouring of a rubber stamp

I actually love this type of thing on big keys. It makes me think about how these books, even the ones we call the biggest of keys today, were just rags back then. Very few people thought they would ever be 'worth' anything, and treated them accordingly. I love the purity of a big key getting treated like any other comic.

 

I wouldn't buy it though... heh
