Hello!

Welcome to the "Comics Market - Forum Only Selling" board!

The moderators have asked everyone around here to help educate new comers about the posting rules for this forum so that we can keep things running smoothly. So whenever we see a new thread go up that's missing some of the information required by the rules, someone will generally happen along and post this reminder (by moderator request).

You can find the posting guidelines here:

Forum Posting Guidelines

Specifically, you should check out #1.

Books must be CGC or raw only, or items directly related to comics.

They are well worth reading, because your posts can be removed from the boards if they don't conform to the guidelines. This will help you to attract more buyers as well, since this is how people expect to have books offered around here.

Thanks, and glad to have you here!

I guess I need a new set of Glasses I thought I read CGC. I guess I should have waited for the scans

me too; i even made a sight unseen offer on a book, thinking it was cgc. wasn't accepted, thankfully.

I read the same thing as both of you...although it's an interesting question as to whether the buyers are obligated to complete the transaction when the items in question are prohibited.

We need the board legal team to chime in, but my two cents says that since GPA was referenced in the sales thread for each book, the assumption can be made that "CGG" was a typo, since GPA is for CGC comics only.

I don't think it was a typo. From what I can tell, CGG did exist (in some form) back in the early 2000's and did grade some books. And if you look at the photos posted, they are for the Comics Grading Group (CGG). But I do concur that GPA is for CGC books...so it was a bit confusing to say the least.

Buyer's should absolutely have the option of backing out.

I'm not saying that they were typos, but only that since GPA was referenced, that it can be reasonably argued that the buyers assumed that they were typos.

Absolutely. CGG = PGX = ? (And I'm being kind by saying unknown...)

$135 less than HALF GPA. Was expecting 9.2 on this one

Your reference to GPA is factually incorrect. (tsk)

There is no GPA data for an ASM #38 in Qualified 9.0 (which, if anyone cares, would be a Universal Blue Label 0.5 POOR since it's incomplete).

I have pulled the NON CGC books I had listed. I didnt realize that NON CGC books werent allowed.

No, I didnt make any typos. I knew what I was posting. I just didnt know that they werent supposed to be posted.

My apologies to the board. It was simply a new fish error. doh!

Close the thread, start over fresh. Allow buyers to back out of books they might have thought were CGC graded. It's the best thing. You will be out nothing if you ask for a redo....It's the right thing to do...
