Son of a!  I love the cover (Perez is the man) so I grabbed a small stack last year.  I sold off a couple at current prices to move some books but somehow I knew that book had legs.  Now I have to scrounge around and find the other few copies.

you've done an amazing job of playing the long game on this book and many others

So I went through my 3 boxes of Cap books and yanked a stack of ones that have heated up. Praying that these find a reason to heat up.. (I found another 174 later)..

Wizard was usually higher for new stuff, Overstreet higher for old, not sure who was higher for bronze. I have an Overstreet magazine from late 1994, I will check that. That magazine does list NM 98 for $12 and breaks it out as 1st Deadpool, sort of debunking the notion that NM 98 was just part of the Liefield run and nobody cared about it. $12 was real money then.

1994 $12 = 2021 $21.30.

I was in school in 1994. $12 was big money! In comics that was 9 new marvels or so. That would be $36 now. Citing a general inflation calculation is deceptive. Comics had their own rate of inflation

Aww - thanks!  A compliment from Hector is like gold.

I typically buy the books I like and I've been pretty lucky in terms of getting them cheap.  I've been buying up Elfquest books for years (I love the magazines and the 1st appearance) so lets keep our fingers crossed those won't be duds.
