2013 goals? How did you fare?

The one good thing about having collecting goals that go against pretty much the entire boards (ie superhero keys) is that I'm not in competition with most of you over the same books.

 

My goals for 2013 inculde

 

getting a Little Dot 1 (if you find one, let me know)

completing my 1960-1982 Richie Rich collection

High grade bronze DC war and horror

 

I'd also like to compile a reader set of Marvel Team-Up

 

The # 1 goal though is to sell off most of my SA/BA/CA/MA superhero books

Get a low number Batman(either #2 or 5) in 3.0-5.0 range

 

Get a few classic pre-code covers(Weird Mysteries 4 and CSS 22 would be nice)

 

A couple of Lou Fine covers

I'd like to pick up 3 more copies of Buffy Season 8 Dark Horse 100 sketch cover

10-20 more ASM 100-200 CGC 7.0 or better

The big one is ASM 1 CGC 3.0-4.0

obtain more quality GA books. I am trying to collect books in 5.0 or better. It is proving to be a challenge to find many of the books I seek.

Complete a run of Miracleman 1-24 in yellow label.

 

Put together a Batman head sketch jam on a Batman 0 blank at the Boston con.

 

Add more sigs to some of the yellow labels I already have.

Although it's a tad hard between actual IBM contracts,i will definitely try to get

about 20 actual comics of upper grades.

 

I'd like to get a pedigree like a Curator with those mythical white pages ive read about.

More GA Actions, Leadings and Subbys, fill in the last few blanks on some of my SA Marvel runs, get serious about my Herbie collection, finish off my Harvey Bunny and Harvey Pop Comics run.

 

Oh, and I'm slowly but surely getting interested in collecting GA giveaway books.

Buying goals:

 

 

• Find at least 16 of the 25 issues I need to complete my X-Men V2 1-100 run (and decide whether or not to expand to 150)
  
• Track down midgrade copies of Exciting comics 51-53
  
• Find an Adventure Comics #346 in higher grade than 9.0
  
• Create 2 blank covers for a NG CGC cover sketch project
  
• Select another 90's series to collect a run of (Ghost Rider or Darkhawk currently top the list)
  

Selling goals:

 

• Sell all of my OA collection (most of it is drek anyway)
  
• Weed out some of the unwanted sketches and drek modern slabs

Every year I say I am going to sell a bunch of stuff but never get around to doing it. For purchases, I really want to pick up a nice Batman 3, 11, and 18 to upgrade my copies. But I would be happy with one nice piece of OA.
