My niece married an Indian in Baltimore. It was an amazing event, extremely colorful, but only lasted one day and I am so happy that I was able to attend the ceremony. Later they went to India and had a ceremony more like Michael just described but I was unable to attend it.

 

Thank you for sharing this most moving experience.

I sing of brooks, of blossoms, birds, and bowers,

Of April, May, of June, and July-flowers;

I sing of May-poles, hock-carts, wassails, wakes,

Of bridegrooms, brides and of their bridal-cakes...
