You're saying people need somebody to "inform" them "Superman Adventures 22! HOT HOT HOT! Livewire appearance! BUY BUY BUY!" and until they are "informed" the prices will remain where they deserve to be. :eyeroll:

I'm saying that the information is readily available for anyone who wishes to seek out appearances of Character X or whatever else they want. If people actually cared about early appearances of Livewire, they could buy them or even start bidding wars for them without the need for hype.

Actually, it isn't. You need to get off your duff Lazyboy (eponymous) and actually read the books - everything you search for and find on the internet is not true :news:

Though, somebody's been working hot and heavy on this page . . .

Yeah, it really is available... from multiple reliable sources, NOT wikipedia.

You also probably missed my posts on Mr. Warren Worthington III.

Well if it's annoying then I'll keep doing it! :acclaim:

People here seem to think what they do and say isn't annoying either?

I am not "friends" here with anyone, I don't talk to anyone here, I don't like anyone here. If someone on here knows me, they get my sense of humor. You actually think for one second what I say on the boards is how I am in person?

I am here to make everyone on the board miserable cause these boards are pretty useless and it's filled with overly sensitive basement dwellers who buy SS CGC comics so they can stand in line for 6 hours so they can get a head sketch by the artist they put on a pedestal cause he draws big boobs on Mary Jane / Harley Quinn or some other big breasted female character that isn't real that gets them excited.

How's that? Am I being really annoying now??? Don't like it? Get off the internet and go cry about it.

You.. are....AWESOME!

I was thinking the same thing. I figure Kevin will tell me I'm a basement dweller too since I am having trouble understanding the glory that is Kevin, at which point I will tell him I don't care what the FUKK he thinks because he's not my friend. :wishluck:

He's a doosh, but he's OUR doosh. :cloud9:

By informed I mean having knowledge about the character but I see how you could be confused.

Isn't that the point? Why should anyone know about her? She's done nothing! I only know anything about her because of when she made her DCU debut, which happened to be when I was really into (then) current DC.

This point is completely valid. If Livewire demand was being driven by fans of the character, who want to own and read her appearances, SA 22 shouldn't have been skipped over in the recent jumps in price and demand.

It's an Internet hype fuelled gold rush.

So none of the hype was generated by her insertion into the new 52?

That's silly. A sale still needs to be consummated. You naysayers don't understand a free market. (Nor do you own any HG copies of these books). lol

Really? This message board is going down the toilet if this is the new mantra of members.

Things to do...

Try and stay out of comics general, AND the copper area.

Focus.

We're not discussing whether sales are occurring. We're discussing WHY sales are occurring. It's an upward spiral created by a sequence of greater fools, as fingh outlined earlier in the thread. The only question is: who is the last in line?

And, having been involved in equities for fifteen years, I'll gladly match my knowledge of markets and market forces against yours, especially if you embrace the specious third grade level argument that naysayers must simply not own the books.

If you think the rise in prices is indicative of a sudden intrinsic value in the character or stories, then you must think the Dutch really valued tulips in the 1600s. :baiting:
