A quick question about PMs

Does anyone know what the maximum number is of members that can be included in a PM thread?

When you click send a PM, it states in bold at the top:

 

"You may invite up to 10 people to a private topic. Click the 'Add' button to add each person".

You can add waaaay more than that. I started one a day or two ago with forty eight participants (at least that's what I made it when I just tried counting them )

I've got one that originally had 34 participants. I think it has 31 now.
