CVA exceptional?? Really??

All joking aside, if people see this is a path to make more when selling a book, it will catch on like hot cakes and you will have a ton of people defending them.

CVA will give out a lot of stickers because they're a fledgling business in a limited market.

I don't know if its a very measurable market...b/c the only marketplace that has CVS is CLink. If GPA keeps track, that may help...but then again, you'd need multiple data points before any conclusion can be drawn.

 

Needless to say, I wouldn't think that a book with a pretty bad miscut would get a sticker. Then again, I'm not a CVA "expert"

I was looking at that very FF 12 this evening and didn't buy it because it had that sticker on it and I found there to be nothing exceptional about that book.

CVA is a joke. I can accept the idea of an exceptional high grade copy ... but an exceptional mid-grade copy

 

What's next ? 0.5 CVA approved books

What clowns. Can't believe that book gets a sticker. Did they ever state what criteria they use to judge exceptional eye appeal?

This gives me more of a negative perception of CLink than I had before. Why do they legitimize this CVA business by peddling books with those stickers?

 

I don't see any other auction houses using it.
