They are very nice pieces, and this is a great thread. Good work. thumbsup2.gif

Do you have much of an art collection yourself?

Not as much as I would like... I do own one of the best Black Panther covers (below) and, what I believe, is the best prelim of Batman Adventures Annual #1 by Timm (will post scans later).

Thank you... acclaim.gif

I used to be a half-way decent illustrator in school but stopped when I got to college... have been interested in getting back into it lately due to my avid appreciation of the comic book art I've seen... I love the line art of masters like Lou Fine, Russ Heath, and John Buscema... fantastic stuff! shocked.gif

Not to mention my affinity for Bruce Timm's eye candy... blush.gif

And yes.... even more links....

I just picked this up. Nothing special but there are lots of little things that make it cool.

Journey Into Mystery, v.2 #4 title page...

I'd say it's special too! Artistically speaking, I like any piece that has a very nice use of black and white areas and this is a great example. It makes the artwork more balanced with the lack of coloring.

Not to mention the Baretta cameo in the inset panel! crazy.gif

As I've said umpteen times, Gene Colan ranks in my top favorite artists and probably number one as the least appreciated! That page rocks as far as I'm concerned! 893applaud-thumb.gif
