Why is it when you post a question on this site, you get 10 insufficiently_thoughtful_person responses.????

 

This is a great place, but with a serious question, you get 10 foolish responses , people making fun of people, etc...and to finally get a real answer you have to scroll through page after page...Jesus, very annoying..

Esoteric jokes make loners feel like they are part of a community. Attacking newcomers is a way to strengthen that feeling and add to the layer of memes. Examples on this board are $3.50, Friday threads etc.

 

Also many of the questions asked are obvsious/trite to some of the seasoned boardies.

Plus, it has been my experience that the seriousness of the responses are a reflection of the seriousness of the question.
