Planet Hulk movie rumours

38 posts in this topic

Planet Hulk is a great story and I would like to see how it ties in with the movie continuity. They would have to change how/why he ends up getting shipped to the planet in the first place. They can't have Professor X, Reed Richards, Dr. Strange, Tony Stark, etc. all decide to stick him in a rocket and shoot him into space!

Last we heard of Hulk, he was pretty in control and helpful with the hero effort.

I am sure they could come up with something though. Maybe an intentional mission to do something and he gets sucked in through a worm hole or something. I don't know.

In any case, I am sure it would be 1000 times better than the animated one (which I liked anyway)!

Ridley Scott should direct the movie with Russell Crowe starring in it.

After Prometheus, Ridley Scott has been banished from the entire film industry.

He joins the ranks of M Night Shamarama.

Harsh. But appropriately true.

I don't know. After Alien and Blade Runner I figure he's still up one.

That's a good idea. A film about the life of Ridley Scott loosely based on Planet Hulk. It would be a stretch to conceive a secret cabal in Hollywood however.

Prometheus estimated budget: $130 million

estimated cost of marketing: $30-50 million

Prometheus estimated total cost: $180 million

Prometheus worldwide gross: $403 million

I don't think the industry is going to be kicking him out of bed any time soon.

Even though I agree that the film was a giant stinkburger.

Yeah, I see they've already put Prometheus 2 into scripting. I don't have any desire to see it.

As long as people accept krap, it will be financially profitable to dispense it.

It couldn't be worse than the animated one. That is what makes me nervous about translating that to film. The animated Planet Hulk was boooooooring. zzz

Disagree. I thought it was pretty good. Just not as good as it should have been.

I had to watch it twice as I fell asleep the first time.

I don't know why but most of the comic animated movies bore me. The voice acting along with the animation just doesn't excite me much.

I know what you mean. My boys were surfing through Netflix and put one of the Avengers animated movies (can't remember which one, but it looked like it might be an Ultimate version). It was so annoying I walked out after about 5 minutes.

I know many will consider this blasphemy, but I'm not real impressed with the DKR and Year One animated movies either.

I guess Akira really spoiled me.
