Looking for Target Comics v1 #8 & Silver Streak Comics #1?

Hi everyone. We're offering a Finder's Fee to anyone who can help us get access to two rare Golden Age books to complete the second volume of the Bill Everett Archives:

 

Target Comics v1 #8 (Sep '40) - http://www.comics.org/issue/1013/

Silver Streak Comics #1 (Dec '39) - http://www.comics.org/issue/579/

 

Hey, if you have either of the originals of these books, please contact me and we'll comp you a copy of both volumes of the Archives series. But even if you just lead us to a person who allows us to use them, we'll comp. you both volumes too.

Volume two is going to be the last in the Bill Everett Archives series, so it would be a real shame to not have that work of his documented.

While I understand you want to scan from the original books, you do know about these if nothing better pops up, I presume?

Those would be miles from ideal but are possibly just good enough to go with if you can't find the Silver Streak anywhere else at all.

Hi Other Eric. Thanks. Yes, have seen these ones - from a microfiche copy - but can't use them. I may just have a line on the SSC #1 and praying for the possibility of Target #8. Sometimes, they are slabbed, sometimes the owner has a super-high quality copy and (understandably) can't scan without damaging the book, and sometimes the owner's copy is just too fragile to scan.

 

Praying for a miracle at this point! Wish me luck!
