I buying them over the summer for around $10 and later in the week selling them in the $75-$100 range and the grades were only around F-VF I did the same with MP 4. I was buying copies from 7.0-9.4 in the $10-$15 range and dumping them for $55-$125 depending on grade. The prices have been silly for 6 months now. I had considered holding off and getting one or two MP 4's graded but didn't want to invest the money in grading. MP 4 also seems to be much more common than MP 7. I had a bout 3 times as many copies as 7.

 

The first MP 7 I sold in July or August sold in under a minute and sold for multiples of what the last ebay sale was. I put a high bin on it and made sure to note the upcoming movie.

Preaching to the choir, guys! We all remember the events when there was only one copy of

TMNT #1 in 9.8 and New Mutants #98 in 9.9.

Although this book is not in the league of the first example it does have a renewed following and is actually tough to find in high grade due to the cheap paper and production flaws due to being cut with what seems like dull blades. Also the cover seems to absorb/transfer a lot of grime and ink and this copy is bright and shined like glass.
