So I got a mystery box full of "blank" covers. Cool deal right?

 

Box had 6 Midnight Massacre black covers (technically not a blank)

Superman 100 (nice white space, but not a blank) in rough shape

Zero Hour 0 (technically not a blank)

New avengers blank

Defenders blank

Wolverine 300 blank

Avengers Xsanction blank

And a new Excalibur 17 (nice white space, but not a blank)

 

Seller apologized, and blah blah blah. The more I think about it the madder I get. I let the seller decide what to do and he chose to leave the deal as is. Pretty uncool, but my fault for giving him the chance to do the right thing I suppose.

 

 

 

Just beware of mystery boxes.

 

Lesson learned.

Two things.

 

Blank covers are blank covers. If you wanted "sketch" covers that's the word you have to look for.

 

A lot of people I know are using Midnight Massacres and Zero Hours for sketches, as they are using ASM 36, ASM 400, FF 371, etc etc etc.

 

Those are all blank covers, but they aren't specifically created sketch covers.

The blanks do have value in the marketplace.

 

If you aren't happy, work it out until you reach a solution that is either mutually pleasing or displeasing but don't let one side get all the happy.

 

I hope the above information will help you if you do decide to keep them that the seller was using the right term if he called them blanks.

 

It's better to work it out with the seller than to vent the ouchie here.
