Some nice, affordable, lower grade copies of some cool GA books...

All of these books have sat in someones home for many. many years, and whereas I didn't buy them directly from said individual, I got them from a comic dealer I've bought from for 25+ years and he had them less than a week...

 

I've tried to take multiple pictures and give as much info in those pictures as possible, but if you have questions or observations, by all means feel free to PM me.

CATMAN #2 vg $388 SOLD!!!

Rusty staples, some staining, some stamps, some writing, but otherwise a very solid copy of this book. Staples are detached at the cover, but the paper is still attached. This books was Elwood's. Thank goodness he didn't actually send off for that Comicscope.

Centerfold is solid, but you can see the staining.

CATMAN #3 gd/vg $450 SOLD!!!

Spine roll and cover split at the bottom. Rusty staples, more prominent staining on the back cover, only one Elwood stamp, not as solid copy of this book as the #2, but WHAT A COVER! Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini!

Staples are detached at the cover, but the paper is still attached.

Centerfold is solid, but you can see the staining.

STAR SPANGLED COMICS #12 vg- $180

Jack Kirby cover (Simon inks) Cover detached, but very flat and clean. Rusted staples, moderate soiling. The interiors are really clean, pretty and bright.

Classic Kirby & Simon cover. Cover hanging on by the paper. Has a 2 inch tear through the 'In this issue..." upper part of the cover (see photos). Interiors are clean and bright, looks really really nice. Robotman story by Jerry Siegel (kicking Hitler in the butt).

Lots of soiling (see inside front cover), rusted staples though they are attached nicely. 'Bob Krieger' stamp twice on cover and three times on page one. Last issue before Plastic Man takes over the cover. Early Phantom Lady story.

Rusted staples, cover hanging on by the paper, some soiling. Plastic Man forced to smoke marijuana. Phantom Girl story.

Pretty solid book. staple stress tears, rusting, some soiling, cover is pretty flat and clean with some reflectivity. Take notice to lower spine, looks like a very very small spine split. Phantom Lady story.
