Which Superhero has the best stories over their lifetime

52 posts in this topic

I know who the most popular superheros are, but which ones really have the best stories.

We all like our own different heroes for different reasons, but what who do you think had the best stories and why. Looking for characters that had lots of great story lines, not just a couple good ones.

Also if you don't mind naming some of the best out of that characters run that would be great too.

Doesn't have to be a single superhero, teams like the X-Men work too.

Wolverine: he's lived a long life, drank lots of beer, banged lots of women and has jumped off a building into the Shield Helicarrier on a motorcycle.

Batman

Spiderman

Daredevil

Thor

In that order. Batman, when he is written as the dark knight and master detective, is hard to beat.

Spiderman, even though he was whiny at times, has solid writing and a cool cast of villians.

Frank Miller's run on Daredevil still stands out to me.

Thor - Norse mythology gave it some unordinary uumph.

I think Batman has had a string of good storylines dating back to the late 60s. I understand during the 50s his storylines might have been a little off the wall (aliens) but Batman always struck me as a character who you can pick up the comic and be entertained by a good story.
