Yeah, it looks like a hand bound remainder copy. By the looks of that middle staple they were having problems with the stitcher. This book had an extra staple put in (the bottom one) by an offline operator with a hand stitcher. It will affect the grade a little but nothing like if someone put it in with their dad's Swingline.

It's still technically a factory staple.

Looks like a factory staple also for the very simple reason you’d not have a good reason for putting a third staple in it. The crooked staple is a usual thing in many Bronze books.

True. There are also people which do not care in the least for a third staple, especially if neat like that.
