Darkhawk first real appearance?

42 posts in this topic

I'm going to say my two Darkhawk 1 9.8s confirm first appearance Darkhawk 1.

BUT The Living Mummy did first appear in Amazing Fantasy 15.

That's a different Mummy. lol

Just like Man-Wolf's first appearance wasn't Marvel Spotlight #2.

There is a mention of Darkhawk on some ancient cave paintings located around the Central European area dating back to over 8,000 years ago but that is another character altogether.

That's right! Obadiah Oldbuck on a trip to said caves was inspired to become a crime fighter. Thus, Darkhawk was born.

Sweet! I love this site. It's a place where us comic book nerds can become the bullies. Let me join in on the fun too....The first appearance of darkhawk was on 1dingos moms printed panties .

The joking around is not based on your post. It's just a reference to the ongoing debate of classic 1st Appearances. Your thread is simply the vehicle for some general good natured fun. :gossip:

Are Nighthawk and Darkhawk related? If not they should be. I mean they are both from the hawk family......

Night...Dark.... I'm seeing a connection here..... hm

Sheesh! That's like asking if Darkhawk and Darkwing Duck are related.

The answer, of course, is yes on both accounts. :insane:

Darkhawk was originally to be part of Rankin/Bass Silver Hawks as the bad boy rebel type but toy manufacturer Kenner declared him too awesome for a mere five points of articulation so he was pulled from the series. If you look to issue one of the Star Comics series you'll note a scene where Quicksilver and Commander Stargazer allude to the most powerful of the hawks (Darkhawk) being the only one capable of defeating Mon*Starr for good.

Great timing this post: Darkhawk actually just died in Avengers Arena #3. Someone else has the diamond/amulet now.

And no, I'm not going to reveal who has it now. Although I will say it's a pretty cool twist. Actually, this whole series so far has been pretty cool.
