So...uh...what were the expectations?

 

It's Conan...I'd expect "brooding", "blood", "frontier justice", more "brooding & blood", "monsters", "chicks", "wizards", and more "blood" with only a small amount of extra "brooding".

 

What did we get?

Brooding - check

Blood - check

Justice - check

monsters - no(okay a minor flashback...but not enough to count)

chicks - no(again a minor flashback)

wizards - no(must have been a flashback issue)

more blood & brooding - check

 

So I guess this issue was about 50% of what I'd expect.

Ah, but the "frontier Justice" (love that term BTW) more than made up for anything else lacking in this issue! C'mon, this was the big PAYBACK issue where Conan confronted those "dirty rats" that sold him out. And what about the chick at the Inn? I think this issue had all bases covered albeit some in flashback.
