originalisbest Posted August 19, 2013 Share Posted August 19, 2013 This thread's been quiet for a couple of days, so I figured I'd post this Harvey that I picked up a month or so ago: Jimbo that book has been pressed has it not? I hope not! It is possible based on the recent slab date. I don't have the book in hand yet; I asked Heritage to wait to ship it because it's extremely hot in Texas this time of year, and I didn't want it baking in the back of a FedEx truck. I thought 0006 books were the ones that had gone through ccs paper first? Or is that some other tier? I don't know much about the slab numbering. If there's a way to tell from the number that a book has been pressed, I'd definitely like to know so that I can avoid those issues. I checked through my books - I have one other issue with a 0006 number, and the CGC website says it was graded 7/25/2000, even though it's in a new-style holder. (So I guess it was re-holdered at some point?) If you can't look at the book itself and "tell", then it doesn't, and should not, matter one whit. The book arrived today, so apparently not all consignment listings are obsolete. (Who knew?) I wanted one Crowley File Copy for my collection, and now I have one.
