Outstanding copy of a tough book bc!!! :applause:

Thanks man!

This is one of several high grade books I picked up that have a number printed on the inside the front cover (behind the CCA "stamp"). Obviously part of the same collection, but I've never been able to track down the story behind them.

According to the census, that's currently the lone highest graded copy.

Not sure if you could tell, but that TOS 13 is marked as "16x" (can't make out the last number)

Sort of hard to see in the slabs (even in hand) but here's a few examples other than that one:

AA3 marked as "307"

TOS 16 marked as "164"

TTA 23 marked as "310"

Funny part is that I picked them up from different places (Reeses, Clink & CC) over the course of 2 years (2017-2018).

Someone had a killer PHM collection!

Is there any discernable pattern to the numbers? Perhaps his collection numbered from one to whatever?

Don't have a big enough sample size to determine a pattern.

If I remember correctly, there were at least 2 other high grade PHM books that I didn't win that had the same "coding".

IF the TOS 13 is "161" and the TOS 16 is "164" - then the numbering would make sense but I can't make out the number on the 13. Can't explain why the AA3 is 307 and the TTA 23 is 310.

Just something else to look for when I peruse the auctions.
