DR.X
seems like a lot of creatures came from Planet X in the early days. must have been a hang-out.
trmoore54
Strange Worlds set. [/img] Great shot Frankie, I am missing the #3 and my #2 is a dog eared mess Yeah, a very cool little set to put together. I just need the #4 in 6.0 or better. They're not easy books to find, especially in decent grade. AWESOME!

mysterio
Do we know why the accumulator of the White Mountain collection felt the need to write the two digit year on the cover of the books? I know a little about the collection, storage methods, etc, but I confess I haven't gotten around to doing any heavy research on various pedigrees as most are out of my price range. The two digit year is something that started in the late 50s and, even then, wasn't consistent. I've not heard of why it was done.
adamstrange
@adamstrange, can I ask what your issue fetched at auction? The auction is still going on so we'll know in a few days. You can check the result by using the link. I have a couple non-WMs in it as well that both present very nicely. The scan of the #70 mutes the colors of what is a bright and glossy cover. http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=522220 http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=522219

I believe something like 900 have been graded (all ST issues 1-100). This is one of only 12 Strange Tales in the entire run 1-100 graded 9.4 or better...a true, true rarity people - top 1%...
