01TheDude
The hard part of finding these inserts is you have to open the comic to find them. You cannot spot them easily by just looking on the outside of the comic. The same is true with other inserts like the DC survey ones. That's why they're overlooked so often. And even if they are seen, a lot of people are unaware that they're any different. same goes for the Bubbalicious Insert I just noticed in my Thor 336. I put the information about that in the Mark Jewelers thread in case you are interested. I never knew these existed as I had stopped collected a few years before they were used. Shark
What percentage of the copies you see have these? I don't really know a percentage, but I can tell you that the greater majority of these issues that I've examined in person do NOT have the Marvel Pizzazz insert in them. I have purchased 4 more so I'm now up to 27.

IngelsFan
I bought Pizzazz and Dynamite mags. Loved them. I used to get both of those thru Scholastic at school. They also had a magazine called Weird Worlds with early Bissette horror art.

I don't recall ever coming across one.
Starcrossed
I've never seen this insert and wonder whether they were even distributed in the UK where I live. Can anyone confirm on pence copies either way?

Can anyone confirm on pence copies either way? No idea, but did they sell the Marvel Pizzazz magazine in the UK? If they did, I would assume some pence copies of the comic books would have had the insert in them.

When I was growing up in London those in-house Pizzazz adverts sure were the height of exoticism and sophistication. Somehow I don't think American consumers felt the same way... Get Marwood & I
I loved Pizzazz Inserts. They definitely weren't put into pence copies. If you find one, it's a construct. One thing that is rarely commented upon is the different types of insert. Amazing Spidey 176, 177 and 178 had the distinctive red and blue version: But ASM 179 had this pretty yellow and green one: I always found the 179 much harder to locate. My first copy was a CGC 9.6 which arrived from the states in a jiffy bag smashed to pieces. But that's another story....

Get Marwood & I
ASM 179 has been difficult for me as well. I have 176,177 and 178 with the Pizzazz insert but still no 179. I think I had three at one point. I picked one up at a London Fair thinking it was a MJI. Nice surprise when it wasn't. Alas, all sold now

I haven't been able to confirm any new books that are not already on this list. Marvel Pizzazz Inserts (40 total) (All are from Jan.-April 1978) Amazing Spider-Man 176,177,178,179 Captain America 217,218,219,220 Fantastic Four 190,191,192,193 Incredible Hulk 219,220,221,222 Invaders 24,25,26,27 Marvel Tales 87,88,89,90 Marvel Team-Up 65,66,67,68 Marvel Two-in-One 36,37,38,39 Star Wars 7,8,9,10 Thor 267,268,269,270 I currently have 31 of the 40 with 6 duplicates. My suspicion is that some of the books on this list do not actually exist as I have never seen a copy (with the insert) listed for sale. Those are: Amazing Spider-Man #179 Captain America #220 Fantastic Four #193 Incredible Hulk #222 Invaders #27 Marvel Team-Up #68 Thor #267 If that is the case, then I may be down to only needing Marvel Tales #88 and #89 to have the full set.
