I actually don't want to get rid of these books, but my son has gotten to the age that he asked questions about these last week, which prompted some less than fun discussions with my wife about appropriate material in my collection.

 

So up for sale they go! (queue the "yes she's pushy and yes he's whipped but that isn't the phrase", comments......)

 

All of these were bought from Dre here on the boards so I am just selling for what I paid him. Not gonna try to make money off a good dude doing good things for us here.

You're gonna sell my baby?? I was like a proud dad when I got that one done... I'm surprised that it is still the only CGC SS on the census, I don't even think there's another grade. It's the lone one.

 

Sucks that you're gonna part with it, but GLWTS!!

I was really on the fence about it, but I looked at my collection and I have 3 of these books that are slabbed and 2 that aren't.

I figure I can get another one signed if I really feel the need down the road.

Plus my wife was quite adamant that if I was going to pay $3k for a guitar then I for damn sure wasn't taking it out of savings to pay for it.

Tough decision, but one that had to be made.

Should have asked for that price maybe 6 monthes ago. I believe a CGC 9.8 blue label sold for $150 on eBay not too long ago so now there may be a bunch of fence sitters.
