Journey into Mystery #623 pg 09 by Mitch Breitweiser

Sold! ^^

A nice flashback for Kid Loki, as he finds a litter of hell hounds left at his door step. If you have not read Kieron Gillen's run on JiM, forget buying this page, go out and find the trade! It's one of the best Marvel stories that has been done in ages.

Asking $225

Grant Morrison's JLA 9 pg 23 by Oscar Jimenez

Due to an issue with my ebay buyer, I am re-listing this one:

Great splash of the Revenge Squad

This is for a 2 page lot. Both pages are approx 11x17 on stanard DC bristol board. Both pages are based off of same pencils by Oscar Jimenez. The published version has the paste ups on it, and is Inked by Chip Wallace (with Oscar Jimenez pencils beneath). The unpublished version has no paste ups, I was told it was Inked by Anibal Rodriguez , but on the back "Dell" is written, so it may have been done by John Dell (the standard inker on the series)

The reason there are 2 profesionally inked copies is that the original was lost so right before the issue was to be completed they had Anibal Rodriguez do a light box of the pencils. But they were able to find this page and put the original done by Chip Wallace in the comic. Both copies are included in this auction and there are some interesting differences and a great example of how a different inker can change the outcome of a page

This is the first full appearance of the Revenge Squad (the previous page just had head shots), I love alternate versions of heroes, and these guys fit that bill perfectly, each of the JLA members are represented and their logos have been replaced with skulls! Just a stunning splash page from Grant Morrison's classic run on JLA .

There is a small cut near the tape mark on the top of the published page. And a crease that goes from the end of the cut to about GL's left hand, but it does not effect the art at all.

The unpublished page has a coffee stain on it on the top left of the page.
