PGM X-Men 40 - possibly trimmed?

Please grade my X-Men 40.

 

Also, the edge of the books is rough looks like someone took a pair of scissors to it. Could it just be a bad miscut or does it look like it was trimmed. In addition to the front and back I included two closer pictures of the edge of the book.

My guess is that is a manufacturing defect on this 6.0 copy (but I certainly could be mistaken :shrug: )

Looks manufacturing to me as well. I have some Strange Tales issues that have jagged edges like that, cut with a dull blade in manufacturing.

I would be concerned.

 

I think that it's trimmed.*

 

Yellowing paper and white edges where cut. Looks like a tell to me. Also quite the "wow" on the edge.

 

Would love to be proved wrong on this one.

 

*I use Heritage's archives when in doubt. If one X-Men #40 is cut this way then thousands were.
