It's juvenile but then again Spidey was always comical and this is in the same style of the comics and cartoons. Pulling down a villains pants is funny to a kid. Adults...not so much.

 

The problem with the scene is it's supposed to be the catalyst to him becoming the Rhino? That's lame.

I was curious, so I looked up the actors heights:

 

Andrew Garfield is 5'10"

 

Paul Giamatti is 5'9"

I think Paul Giamatti's character takes a drug that turns him into an actual rhino, not just a guy in a rhino outfit. So, the rhino will probably be CGI and much taller than Spider-Man. That drug might be what Spidey is holding.
