So at CGC...

 

Week 1 3Ds & 2Ds - Graded, in Quality Control (Encapsulation) Hell (96 books)

 

Week 2 3Ds & 2Ds - Graded, looks like all passed 9.8 Pre-screen (88 books)

 

Week 3 3Ds & 2Ds - Verified (91 books)

 

Week 4 3Ds & 2Ds - On their way to CGC, should be "Received" tomorrow. (101 books)

 

I'm trying to figure out what I should do with my extra 3Ds. Sell as weekly sets or break them up and sell them individually?

individually would probably get more money in theory, but weekly sets might take the cake for 3d covers. it seems most want to complete sets, id go sets for this.

some of the week 1s should be shipped tomorrow, and friday. week 2 just made it into qc so maybe shipped next week. i just sent in week 3 and 4 today 62 books

Just wondering on those prescreen submissions, If you send in 60 you are actually creating 2 invoices, but for 62 books you are creating 3 invoices. Maybe stopping at 60 is wise.

i accidentally sent in 31 per invoice, 7 instead of 6 and 5 instead of 4. so they called and asked if i wanted the 2 extra books on hose invoices i said sure. not sure if they will charge me but i hope they dont.

 

 

No wonder why my 10 books are taking forever, thanks guys !!!!

If you go through that many all the time, CGC should let you grade your own. Tell them protect the books and send you the labels. lol

I looked at your modern sales thread and all I saw was boobs. Lots of boobs. They were very impressive but I was not getting the 3D effect I was looking for.

people can try and undercut the market, but there are not enough copies to go around...I have been watching and there were a few that were priced in the 30 dollar mark a couple of hours ago...now they are 45 and up...

It could be longer. There seems to be a lot of electricity on these besides the speculators. Most won't matter in the long run other than for the set and run collectors but some like the JD seem to matter to people even if they didn't like the story. It will be interesting to see.

I disagree. Most of these books aren't even sought after and/or are readily available for cover, locally, or slightly above cover plus shipping if online. Prices for books from the first couple of weeks have already stabilized or stagnated.

 

I think they are heavily sought after to this point. People in NYC were talking about long lines and punching this morning and although people were disappointed about not getting a JD this morning, a lot of people were celebrating finding 7 to 10 copies. There are some titles that aren't selling very well but there are a lot bringing $10 to $15 on the bay today with some bringing $20 to $50 on the day of release. None of these are over 4 weeks old so It's anyone's guess at this point.
