Yeah, it was OK as first issues go...basically the same beginning as the original (kids on bus) but will deviate from there. The writers explain in a section what they want to do with the new series. Not bad overall, I will give it my usual 3 issue trial befor I decide if it's a (crypt) keeper or not!

Hi! Anyone remember Modern Horror?

 

These books have decent stories and art that follow along the lines of the movies pretty much. These books also come with variant covers...these, of course, are the gore covers!

These books are from Avatar Press and already are on new mini series with Freddy, Jason and Leatherface.

This title is getting some buzz. With its 30 Days of Night style cover treatment, Templesmith art and Warren Ellis story, I think this could develope into a great title.

Well we're getting into that Halloween time again folks! Time for some more Modern Horror as they say, 'tis the season!

This latest issue of Treehouse of Horror is a real treat! First off it's a recreation of EC's Tales From The Crypt # 41

and has art and stories by some of the all time greats in comics (and horror).

But I have to say the real treat for me was the teaming up of Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson for an unforgetable

re-telling/re-make of the Swamp Thing story from HoS # 92...Squish Thing!

I like Little Gloomy...yes I admit it, I find the characters fun and witty!

Scary Godmother is another book I like also that I don't usually stand up and admit but its a fun and clever read also...but I digress...

 

A really fun b/w book!

 

 

This guy, Carl Cthulhu, is my fav character!
