I also argued with Bill about the artist who drew Superman in World's Fair 1939. I think it looked like Paul Cassidy's work but it does seem pretty early. He did do a lot of the early Superman stories before Burnley stepped in.

I had a good time at the semi-annual Comic Book and BBQ Backyard Tent Festival (CBBBTF).

The tent was set up with comics and other toys.

Jack and I talked about what was left of our original silver age collections. I still have a lot of Sgt. Rock comics and Hawkman (B andB) issues by Kubert.

Pronounced Koobert and not Qubert.

Most people said that Mort Meskin was pronounced with a soft "e" instead of long "EE".

Thanks for posting, looks like a lot of fun was had by all. I was visiting an old friend in the DC offices last year and he had pulled some of these old Kubert war books from the archives. While we hadn't ever collected them we were impressed by how well they held up and their beauty forty five years after they had been published.

My daughter Sarah Jane wearing a cool, colorful sweater that BB-Gun's wife made for her. Such a nice gift! Thanks Bruce!

Thanks Jimbo. I've searched for the nicest copies I could find and have upgraded most of them at least once. I love these books. :cloud9:

Did someone take a picture of Bob's painting of the alternate AF 15 cover? That was amazing. He is very talented.

I'm going to ask him to do a cover for me. Maybe two

I didn't get a good pic but it looked a lot like this.
