I finally got around to putting my complete Marvel Value Stamp collection of stamp booklet and non-clipped comics into my spinner rack. This is basically my childhood here, the value stamps were from when I was 9 years old to 10. That time was exactly when I got my paper route and started buying comics with my own money. I had most of these back then, but here they are now in their new spinner rack home! Heck maybe a few of these books are from this exact spinner.

I picked up an Astonishing Tales 23 for marvel value stamp 54 Shanna the She-Devil so I don't have to put any of my Hulk 181's in the spinner.

I found it on ebay, it was finishing at 2:30 am UK time, I set my alarm to bid on it and I won't tell you the rather low price I paid for it in comparison to other copies.

The seller did not describe it to it's full potential IMHO.

was looking through some old pics I had of some sold books and noticed I had taken this one of the fake out question mark 100 stamp.

It was in Luke Cage Power Man #18, further in the back of the book and not on the other side of the letters page-- where stamp #3 is present:

at least they didn't have messages around the border telling you to clip the stamp-- since it has no value in terms of the book. No place to put it as far as I can tell. Just an ad teasing the reveal of the real 100-- Galactus.

there is no spot in the booklet for the Question mark 100 stamp. That said, I still have it in a book as part of my collection.

I also acquired a Series B booklet. It had about 75% of the stamps with it, so I scoured local comic shops for the ones I was missing. I acquired all but 3, and found the final 3 I needed to complete my Series B book at the Edmonton Comic Expo today. :cloud9:

I happened to be on the MVS website today and noticed a new item link talking about VARIANTS in marvel value stamps. Just when you thought the variant madness was completely identified-- nope-- another one pops up. It is sort of interesting though. If you have collected every book that ever had a MVS, you've got it covered. Not sure how many more books you need to get the full set of stamps though. They have a cool part that describes the three occurrences of stamp 54 (Shanna the She Devil-- notably the stamp from IH 181)

 http://www.mvstamps.com/colors.htm

I have acquired all of the variants as well.

*update

I picked up an interesting collection recently ( well interesting to me ).

The seller had all of the Marvel Value Stamps but he had removed the entire page they were on rather than cut the stamps.

All 100 stamps, some of the color variants, the hulk promos, and the question mark stamp were all present. He also had a few other interesting pages and I acquired those as well.

Not sure. I had not thought of getting pages graded or signed.

We'll fyi the pages wouldn't get a "grade" per se, but they'd be slabbed or protected with page quality stated...

Idk, it's just a thought....
