What type of wall shelf do you use to display CGC comics?

9 posts in this topic

Hi everybody, so I'm starting to accumulate enough cgc books that I'm looking into wall shelves to display them in my collection room. I've seen pictures of a few people using ikea wall shelves to display their graded books, but I was wanting something with a small lip on the front of the shelf to prevent books from sliding off. Any reccomendations? What do you use to display your collection? Thanks

Thanks, I've read those threads, but it seemed like no one had a shelf with a lip on the front edge of it. I'd be a bitbworried about slabs sliding off of them. I think I found what I was looking for:

These could be mounted on the top and bottom of each row of slabs you have up on the wall, that way you could slide them in the side, and they would have a lip both on top and bottom of the books preventing them from falling off e face of the shelf. I'll share some pictures when I get them hung up.

While very basic in looks, the shelving brackets that you can find at Home Depot work nicely for comic/slab shelves.

They come in three different lengths, that I have been able to find.

There is just enough space in the "U," to lean the book against the wall and not have to worry about them falling.

Just get 1" "L" brackets to mount them on the wall and you will get this:

Did you see my pic? I have a shelf with a lip and even mention it in the other thread. I got it from my Dad who I believe got it from Home Goods.
