Odd Action Comics #223 Misprint

Was going through some stuff last night and came across this odd misprint?

 

This is clearly Action Comics #223's (what's left of it, anyway ) cover and interior, but it is also clearly labeled Action Comics #233.

 

Has anybody ever encountered a numbering misprint in similar era DC comics?

 

Take a look. Might have to blow it up to see it. It's a mystery to me.

Nope. It's a not a married cover of any kind.

 

Here's the real Action #233, in its very dreamy shade of pink.

It's a misprint on the cover number only. The inside page shows the correct number of 223.

Never seen or noticed this before on this issue. I wonder how many of these were printed at the time?

I checked with GCD and Mike DC, and there is no mention of anything.

It's certainly interesting, if nothing else. If only it were in better shape.
