Sold my Tom Hiddleston (Loki), and always wanted another. Was able to get this one from a friend. It's also signed by the Director of Thor 2.

and my third would be one of these. I can't decide which :sorry:

Imagine the poor guy is of proud Norwegian descent ... and so on. :bump:

But more importantly... wh tell the poor guy it was Norwegian when t is not. Like if someone is told a comic is American and it is really Mexican. One wonders why.. and why Norwegian of all places? :roflmao:

3 of my favorites this year.

I'm a big Alex Schomburg fan and a big fan of Catman Comics. This is the only Catman cover done by Alex Schomburg. Love it!

I've been trying to get this book for 10 years, super happy to finally have it.

To me, this cover epitomizes 1950's sci-fi... and this copy has an amazing bright white cover.

After being away from the hobby for over 10+ years, I was very fortunate to come across a lot of great books, and get closer to my goal (AF15) but in the meantime I was able to pick up 3 very rare books for my permanent collection

TMNT #1 (1st Print) - LCS purchase (they have some great things come into the store, I was lucky to be there when this came in and couldn't resist picking it up)

comic284_zpsa8acfd26.jpeg

Love + Rockets #1 (black & white) - purchased from Jimmy Linguinni

I honestly thought I would never own a copy. Not worth millions but to me this book is special. If I could ever get all 3 bros to sign, it would be priceless

Action Comics 252 - purchased recently from a new board member. Though not a DC comics fan, nor a Superman fan, the scarcity of the book is a nice purchase as I recognize these books don't come up very often. It's not the greatest shape, but same could be said about my collection.

This Heritage purchase hit all the high notes I was looking for. I used to own a copy of this ish, but sold it back in '05 to pay for a plasma TV. The TV is wearing out now, and I'm thrilled to own a nice copy of this book again.

I had a great 2013! Thanks everyone who helped make it happen!

1) My best acquisition of the year was one of my grails. Thanks to Roulette44 for making this happen! I have loved Spider-Man ever since I was a tiny kid and have so many fond memories of reading Spideys as a little kid. This book meant a lot to me... Then I cracked it open and defaced it with Stan's Signature (Sorry again Frank :) )

11060737464_f0ea0a3de4_b.jpg

2) Picked this bad boy up at NYCC 2013. I am probably one of the 6 people who actually loves Superior Spider-Man. Got to hang out for the better part of the day with Humberto Ramos and got to pick this page up from Superior Spider-Man 16

Yup... Spider-Man is holding a Flaming Sword, need I explain the love for this piece any further???

3) My Third Favorite Super-Hero of all time is Iron Man (Batman is number 2 for anyone that wants to know) This was a birthday gift from my mother, cracked it out and had Stan sign it along with the Spidey. Love the book and love my mom for getting it for me. (wouldn't have minded if she had gotten a ToS 39 though.. lol)

What the ?? I thought all un-witnessed signatures on the cover got a green label from CGC? And this book was just recently graded.

It's a lovely copy, BTW

I guess if I had to pick just three, I'd go with these:

Tony Moore brought my "Big Trouble in Little China" dreams to life.

The first time anyone ever saw The Crow in print, it was this image:

And the first page from my favorite Superman story, ever.
