Just received this from seller. (The scans, not the book. I would never scan a comic like this)

Wondering about the grade. Any help ould be very welcome.

The first link before each image brings you to a HUGE size page where you can double click for detail. Thanks in advance

It's difficult when the scans are cropped however it appears as though the book is in similar shape all round. I would say 6.0 conservatively with the foxing and soiling. Laying the spine out like that really.....electricf.gif

Yep. I shouted at the screen when I ´saw the scans and realized what he did there.

So you think a dry cleaning could improve the grade, considering there is nothing else going on?

I was thinking that the little hole on the back cover between the yellow and the blue circle would hammer it down a lot.

Thanks

That didn't come across as a tear/hole to me, I thought it was a piece of dirt/loose paper that got trapped on the scanner bed?

As for the dry cleaning in my opinion it can't hurt the grade, that's for sure! smiley-greet008.gif

Looks like a hole to me, but hope you are right. :)

Will probably get it though. This is the second copy I ever saw for sale and the other one was not as nice as this.

Thanks for the input.

I had looked closely at the large scans. You had provided the links in your original post. I could not match the shape of the object to a tear on the cover. I am quite sure that this is just a piece of loose paper or dirt.

However it is best you ask the seller to confirm this suspicion first!smiley-greet013.gif

Best of luck if you do go ahead and buy it!

Thanks for the input. The book is on its way. :wishluck:

Pleased to know it was not a tear! I hope that the book arrives and you are pleased with it. Keep us posted please!
