Even buying here can be a shoot. And many threads have shown the same can go for cgc graded books. Always do your research, buy the book not the grade and ask questions if unsure.

 

When you get the IM 55 in hand if you are unsure about restoration post scans in the pgm section with some shots in good light to accompany the scans and tells us your specific areas of concern on the book.

Keep thinking,looks like 5.0 at best.

 

+1 Big ugly stain on the back, possible spine split on the bottom, spine creases and a tear (?) on the top.. (shrug) Pictures show all the flaws pretty well, not sure what kind of recourse you have here. Higher grade is pretty ambiguous.

yeah see i did a comparison with some graded 55's 7.5 and similar wear but better gloss. May CGC people will be drunk enough on egg nog to over look. and we as collectors are Harder Graders i think. I mean How many times have you sent in a comic you thought was 8.5 at best and got a 9.6. MEEEEE
