4 - Bedlam ( when available only kidding, honest... I know you've been busy )

 

I deliberately kept a narrower focus this year as my pull list last year totalled about 30 titles...

I haven't tried it. I went to the comic shop today to pick up the trades and they only had the 3rd TPB. I will get it because I trust your judgement and I really can't wait to read it.

I've been collecting comics for a couple years now but haven't read anything from this decade until recently. I didn't realize what I was missing out on. I'm hooked on them now.

It is a very good time to be a reader and collector imo. The selection is so diverse that there is literally something for everyone.

You not what they say about great minds... They probably didn't have us in mind when they said it but how could they argue with these great books ?

Good idea. I actually bought the 1st prints directly from him 3 through like 12 or 13 but was offered a fair profit before I had a chance to read them. I skimmed the 3rd TPB today and it definitely looks like my kind of stuff.

One thing that is certain about everyone's list, these are great reads. The difficulty of making a list this year is that it is very hard to narrow down the ten best. It is a great time to read to comics.

Saga, East of West, The Wake, Letter 44, Buzzkill from Dark Horse, IMAGINE Agents, Lazarus, Six Gun Gorilla, and Death Sentence. This is in no specific order. I looked over the other's lists, and there are so many more comics that I read that are on the other's list. Once again, a great time to be a comic reader.

Something I have noticed is that nobody is hardly listing Marvel or DC. Image, Dark Horse, IDW, ONI, and other Independents are knocking them out of the park right now.

I agree. Daredevil is the only comic that I read from Marvel, and have not looked at DC for a while.

The Superhero genre has taken a massive hit the last 2 years. I never thought I'd share in that thought-process, but they feel old and a dying genre. Barring Hawkeye and Daredevil (of which DD is ending), there is very little from DC or Marvel that I like. If Superhero books were more like Invincible, I'd change my mind.
