Last couple times I was there his store was on the second floor. But that may have been the old location.

It's below street level at the new, non-14th street location. Still an awesome shop, and Roger is still an awesome guy.

Somebody needs to get off their butts and write up a New York City comic shop overview.

 

I know there was one written up about Chicago shops. (And the author was really charming and handsome.)

Midtown (duh), but the best? Bergen Street comics in Park Slope.

Does Bergen Street comics have back issues?

It's hard to miss as he has a large sign out front. It's in the lower level/basement of the Southwest corner building at 6th avenue and 8th street. I'd go to the address and then call by cell if you can't find it.

What about St. Mark's Comics? I went there when I lived there and was just getting back into the hobby. I recall lots of poorly-stored back issues, but back issues nonetheless.

 

Can't beat the neighborhood. That place is great.

My recollection was that the store was a bit of a mess and too small.

Thanks MPS. it sure took a while to get a good answer. More than likely the sign went up after those images from google street view were taken. can't wait to get there.
