+1 agreed. Good luck on the hunt, I admire your quest, saw your WTB and I think it's awesome. Making wise financial moves and being patient waiting for what you really love is so much more rewarding. Pulling for ya :wishluck:

Anyways -

Justin my main DD man, as we concluded, I feel you embarked on the wisest route to obtain your grail.

In the end, when your holding your new baby, it will all be worth the angst buddy.

 

I know it stings and hurts losing her, but as either Tesla, Axl or Izzy wrote......or how bout,

It is a sad...sad day for me. I'm out of the Club for now!! :cry::ohnoez:

 

Decided to chase a dream of an upgrade and the only way I could accomplish that is by selling my old copy. I'm happy it has a new home with a great guy and I'll let him reveal when he wants to. I'm just sad to no longer own a DD #1 for now. :(

 

It's tough to part with comics in your personal collection. Earlier this year I upgraded a couple keys... Did the same thing you did... Sold my under copy to put the cash toward the upgrades. It's so worth it in the end. :grin:

Thanks guys. It was a tough choice, but if I didn't have the money put aside for a copy, the right one could pop up for sale on Clink or another site w/o time payments and I could miss out - as I did with Roy's amazing,date-stamped copy. :cloud9:

GLWT Hunt!

 

Imagine amazing Daredevil movie news comes out and prices for #1 triple overnight. Right. :facepalm:

 

There is no reason why this book is not at the level of Fantastic Four 1, X-Men 1, Avengers 1, or even Spiderman 1. This is still the most undervalued SA comic out there right now IMO. This book has so much room to grow.

This is why I refuse to let myself play the upgrade game. I simply buy the best copy I can afford at the time and enjoy it for life. :cloud9: Further, from the financial side, you lose the equity in your book when you sell it and then buy a higher grade that has most likely risen exponentially in value to your lower graded copy.

 

That being said, Justin is one of the most productive members on these boards, and I wish him the best in his reignited quest for his grail. (thumbs u
