Your all-star list of boardies you'd go to a comic con with.

186 posts in this topic

I've never had the chance to really meet any boardies at a Con outside of some dealers. I'd be down to go with anyone really. Any one going to Phoenix Con in June?

Any boardies do cosplay?

I do!

I'm lucky to hang out with a few of you at many cons, but I'd love to hang out with Doc Balls and of course Greggy. They're both pretty fantastic people.

:applause:

Someday I'll get to a con again.

In reality, you probably wouldn't want to go with me.

I went to my first major con - Boston Comic Con - last August. I felt so lost and :ohnoez:

It took me three attempts to go up to Terry Moore to get him to sign something for me as I was :shy: and all I could muster with James O'Barr was "Thank you" and ran away like a school girl meeting Justin Bieber! lol

(worship) here I was thinking I was a weirdo. This past NYCC was the first con I've gone to in years, and the biggest one I've gone to by far. I didn't mind the crowd, my girl and I just walked around, taking it all in. But when I went to get some stuff signed by some writers/artists, I turned into Chris Farley in that old snl sketch, sheepishly talking to Paul McCartney. "Remember when you drew Spider-Man? That was awesome!" After staring at my feet kicking imaginary dirt for a few minutes, I would take my stuff and slink away, frozen to the bone with person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed chills.

I got dropped off by my wife like a 12 year old at the mall who looked at me, saw the line and cosplay and said " meh Good luck you big geek...and don't forget your backpack!" and drove away.

I went by myself and had no idea what I was doing! lol

I'm heading to Boston to see this spectacle!

One of the most likeable boardmembers that I've met at a con was bitter old man. Talk about a name that was the absolute opposite of his personality.

Been there. Done that.

:whatev:

Yeah. Without you I would have never got that Patsy Walker #1. Angry John was a jerk. :tonofbricks:

I've only known him to be a jerk to one person...

1434ksk

Hamlet

cosmic farmboy

Frisco Larson

(And maybe we could get Doc Joe and Xavier Logan to join us this time)

Oh wait. How about skypinkblu and thirdgreenham. I'd want to see if they could possibly be as nice in real life as they are on the boards. Maybe G.A.tor too. That way if the comic talk got boring I'd have someone to talk college sports with.

I don't have one. There are many board members I do meet up with frequently at conventions. And honestly, I go to conventions to buy, nothing else. Now if I could choose who to have at a after convention dinner/party. That would be different.

Man, you may actually win this game. And I didn't give you any pity breaks.
